Bonne fête à toute la famille!
This morning I had a great time talking with my family back home in pinas. Our town is celebrating the annual fiesta today and everybody were there! How I wish I was with them too. They prepared lots of pinoy dishes.. I really miss the local foods. My eyes were even drolling when I've seen the crunchy & yummy lechon on the webcam. If only I could have wings to fly and be with them. lol*
Looking at those yummy foods my family prepared today made me salivate. So, to satisfy my craving I cooked some kind of pinoy (comfort) food.. I'm sure pinays out there knows what I'm talking. hehehe* To get rid of cooking odors, I use scented candle and voila! stink no more:)

bad news
Hello guys! I apologize for not being able to return your visits as often as I would loved to. I have problems with my computer for a couple of days now and it's still under repair. The technician said it would take approximately three weeks before I could get my computer back. Could you imagine that? Three weeks without my toy.. what a pity! As of now I've no choice except to use hubby's iMac from time to time when writing paid posts but sad to say that I can't stay long. je veux dormir!
I had this insomnia for several days now, I don't know if it's due to the Antiandrogen medication or hormonal treatment of acne I am taking. Infact I already avoid drinking coffee or tea after 4:00 p.m. but still it didn't work for me. Hubby think that I have this behavioral insomnia and he maybe right. Actually, I worry excessively about not being able to sleep well during the night and try too hard to fall asleep. Hmmnn.. c'est pas facile!

patience.. patience!
Nine months ago I wrote three articles from Blogvertise, it was all posted, submitted and accepted by the admin. Unfortunately 30 days later I didn't recieved any payment from them. I asked some friends if they have been paid for the same articles they have written for the company and said yes! So, I contacted Bloggerwave to have some explaination but despite of a dozen emails I've sent I never recieved any single response from them. Come mid-january I decided to email Bloggerwave back for the same purpose (claimed the $30) they owed me for such a long long time but still no replies.
Then two days ago, when I checked my paypal email account I was surprised to see a notification email from Paypal letting me know that Bloggerwave has just sent $30 to my account. Quelle bonne surprise! lol* After 9 mos. of waiting.. it's over now. wink*

seems like yesterday
I remeniscents the day daughter A was born, her Papa always took videos of her petite cherié with his Sony HD camcorder, capturing every moments of her daughter's young and tender age. For me it seems like yesterday. Time really flies huh! Now our baby is grown up into a beautiful young lady and yes, looking back at those times made me realized that JP and I are not getting any younger anymore. Agarayyyy!!

This morning we recieved une "faire-part de naissance" (birth announcement) from my long-time friend and blogger buddy Lucille in Paris region. She gave birth to a cute angel named Charléne last November 9th. Her baby weighs 3,330 kg and such a cutieeeee!!

All Saint's Day in the Philippines
Today & tomorrow, millions across the Catholic Philippines trooped to cemeteries to honor their dead loved-ones. Aside from Valentine's Day, these are also the busiest times for flower dealers and vendors as well.
During All Saint's Day & All Soul's Day, cemeteries around Manila and Cebu, will be full of vendors selling everything from bottled waters, foods, candles and flowers.
How I wish to be with my family back home at this time of year to be able to lit candles to my beloved Pa & grand-pa:(

French is Fun
When I first came here in France, way back 17 years ago.. it was a lot difficult for me for I can't understand or knew how to speak the French language. Learning French isn't that easy but as time goes by with the help of JP and the audio book hubby bought for me I learned to speak thier language little by little. And now, I am proud to say "Je parle français couramment" wink* How about you? Wanna learn french?

Chin-chin!
My husband and I loved french wines of any kind. Infact, every meal we often served a glass of it. As far as I'm concerned, my favorite is the special Vin de Paille & Macvin de Jura. I love the sweet aromas of this remarkable wines. JP used to bought wines at Viniphile and also a member of wine of the month club. Wine is good for health but don't forget to drink with moderation! wink*

farmhouse sinks
Today, weather was so bad with heavy rains and temperature was going down to 12°c. My goodness! what kind of spring is it? So, instead of going out we just decided to stay home and enjoy ourselves watching our favorite movies.
I also had the chance surfing on the net looking for some great deals on home acessories and was amazed to see this beautiful high quality farmhouse sinks. How I wish Philippines is just nearby. I surely would love to buy one to put in our vacation home there.
for the love of books
J-Paul and our daughter had the same passion for books, Alyssa surely got the genes from her papa. She loves reading books as well as her papa does. No wonder, at the age of six yrs old.. she already started wearing eyeglasses.
Part of JP's extensive collections were being bought at Amazon books. Of course, until now he still continue with his passion and are glad knowing that he could pass all of these to her one and only chérie.

birthday gift
Daughter Alyssa's birthday is fast approaching, too bad we can't celebrate her birthday at home since it falls on the day of our departure going to the Philippines. I already asked her what gifts she would want us to buy for her birthday, and she replied with a big smile saying she wanted to have several Nintendo DS games. lol* She will be turning 16 yo this month but as you can see she's still playing those stuffs right now.. funny huh* Anyway, I am thingking of buying this cute gold bangle I've seen at Jewel Elegance. I hope, Alyssa will like this beautiful surprise gift!

have a nice week!
Good morning everyone! How's your weekend? Ours, was great! We had some French friends who came over yesterday and spent the whole day with us. I've cooked our very own pinoy foods for lunch and glad they all loved it. Oh well, dapat lang noh.. lol* I must admit, pinoy cooking takes a lot of time to prepare.. unlike the french cuisine. wink*
Well, gotta go now but promised to visit you guys later! I need to do first the vacuum cleaning here.. I hate doing this, but no choice. poor mehhh:(

Happy Fiesta to my family in Cebu
My mind is travelling in the Philippines today, most precisely in my hometown in Northern Cebu. May 19-20 is our town fiesta honoring the Patron Saint San Isidro Labrador. I really missed this big event.. the last time I've attended our town fiesta was during my "bagets" days, way back 15 years ago. lol* I just called my family back home today to greet them a very Happy Fiesta celebration! Pastilan, bahaw nalang akoa next month. hehehe*
