custom laptops

My 4 yrs old laptop computer is acting like crazy these days i really don't know why? Uploading photos takes so long to get done, probably there's something wrong with the hard disk drive and a serious computer memory upgrade might be needed. My first thought was to buy a ram and have it fixed by a computer savvy. But hubby insisted that it would be great if i get a new custom laptops instead of spending €uros on ram and expensive repair charges.
