the reason why our hair shines
.. is because our hair is coated with a layer of sebum a natural oil being produced by sebaceous gland lying next to each hair follicule in the scalp. The sebum gives the hair each shine & protects it from losing it's own moisture content. The amount of oil secreted by the sebaceous glands will determine whether the hair is dry, greasy or normal.
